It’s time to plant spring blooming bulbs. Plant daffodils, tulips, crocus and hyacinth around deciduous shrubs to brighten the bare spots in early spring.  Daffodils are the most deer and rodent resistant of bulbs.  Plant these reliable bulbs if deer frequent your yard for snacks.  As a general rule, plant bulbs in full sun, well-drained soil, around 3 times as deep as the size of the bulb with the pointy side up.
